Admin Interface: Installers¶
The Installers page manages the Binary Ninja Ultimate client installers hosted by the Enterprise server. Every installer listed here is shown on the home page to all logged-in users, who can download it directly from the server. For background on hosting installers and where to obtain installer files, see Hosting Client Installers.
Warning
Do not upload, replace, or delete installers while a backup is running.
Uploading an Installer¶
- Click Add installer in the top right.
- Choose the installer file. Files larger than 1 GiB are rejected.
- Optionally fill in the Display filename, Platform, and Version. Leave any of these blank to have them populated automatically.
- Click Save.
The Display filename is the name users see on the home page and the filename used when they download the installer. It defaults to the uploaded filename and:
- Must be unique (case-insensitive) across all hosted installers
- Must only contain printable ASCII characters
- Must not contain
/or\
After upload, the installer is available to authenticated users with no server restart required.
Replacing an Installer¶
Note
Platform and version are only populated automatically when those fields are blank. When replacing an installer with a different version, update (or clear) the Version field yourself, or the old version number will be kept.
To replace an installer's file (with a newer build, for example) while keeping its existing record and download link:
- In the list of installers, click the display filename of the installer you want to replace.
- Choose the new file in the File field.
- Update the Display filename, Platform, and Version as needed.
- Click Save.
Deleting an Installer¶
Warning
Deleting an installer also permanently deletes its file from the object store. This cannot be undone except by restoring from a backup.
- In the list of installers, select the installer(s) you want to delete.
- Using the "Action" drop-down, select "Delete selected installers" and press "Go".
You can also delete a single installer with the Delete button on its page.
